Jan. 28 Homework

165 Students:
You have two parts to homework.
First, Draw yourself as if you are in a episode of the Simpson's Use your blue pencil to design the basic shape, add the red pencil for detail. No Graphite! and add black ink. No need to color your drawings.

We will check them out in class. Have fun!

Yep... the one below is me!
Second, in your sketchbook, use the two remaining photos that we took in class and draw yourself in any style, in the 3/4 pose and the profile. You can draw them side by side on the same page, keep the drawings simple. Begin with a Red or Blue pencil for the setup lines and finish with ink.

166 Students:
Over the next three weeks you will create one animation a week, using 3 different characters, each
displaying different characteristics, something that:

Walks (on four legs)
Flies (No Humming bird, you need to show the wings flapping)
Swims (must display the classic "s" curve)

Over the weekend, in your regular sketchbook, draw 3-4 versions of each type of character.
Pick one of each kind that you like the most, and begin drawing that same character lined up on one sheet of paper from the angles shown below. This is a character page. (Note: the same pose is used for each drawing)

front, 3/4 front, profile, 3/4 back, back.

Please keep them in pencil only, no ink just in case

adjustments to the drawings need to be made. We will work

on them in class on Tuesday. You will work on the second of

the 3 next weekend and the final one the weekend after that.

Have a fun time drawing! see you Tuesday!
