Homework Reminder

165 Students:
Using your wash pencil, water brush and ink pens, experiment and try a couple of  head variations.

Also, collect images of trees and leaves if you are planning on a leaf drop. If you are going to do the paper drop make sure you have the 1 point perspective room ready to show on Tuesday.
166 Students: 
Work on creating concept art for your backgrounds.

Reminders

165 Students
Homework: 
1. Printout a black and white image of a politician and have it ready for class on Thursday.  Make sure the head can be seen clearly and is no smaller than 3" x 5"
2. On a 8 1/2" x  11" sheet of paper, draw a 1 point perspective room, add a door, window, and a shelf on the back wall. Use a sharpie and ruler, the image will be used as a backdrop for the next animation.
3. Most of you finished up the simplified comic strip on the storyboard handout last night, if not... go ahead and work on it,  we will look at them on Thursday.
166 Students
Homework:
1. As you finish you character turns this week,  you will need to start thinking about backgrounds. Create an electronic file with images that can inspire your layouts. Next Tuesday, I would like to see some loose layout sketches. I will be talking more about backgrounds tonight at 7:00 in A106 and on Thursday.

Drawing Homework Reminder

Draw yourself as if you were in 
a Don Martin cartoon.

Draw the full body, use you red pencil first, then use both sharpies focusing on line. Color is optional. The clothing on the body should look like your clothes drawn in the Don Martin style.

Drawing Tips: Long Jaws, bent toes/shoes, big bulb like noses, big ears,

Homework Reminder 165 Students

In the Richard Williams book, read pager 8-39 it sounds like a lot...don't worry! The book is mostly very important images that you need to spend time looking at. The part to focus on is the ball bounce...!

Draw yourself as if you were a cast member on the Simpsons, full body, use sharpies at the end, add color... what's the fun of it if your not yellow.

Homework Updates

165 Homework reminders....

Draw Yourself as if you were a Peanuts character.... Full body, do not hide the hands, use red pencil for draft and use fine point sharpie for the final line work. Color is optional...!

Also... on Thursday, I will be introducing the first animation project and assign reading from the textbook.

Now that you have some basic idea about your characters for the Red Riding Hood project, its time to begin working on character pages. For Thursday, you should work up some drawings of the characters from different angles. Do not ink them until after we meet on Thursday.
