6/28 Homework

Go to the perspective tab and follow the directions. For the homework you will be creating a background the can be an interior or exterior space that shows one or two point perspective. 
*Pick a theme 
*Keep it in pencil only 
*Fold your paper into thirds and design your environment so that it exists in the middle third of the page as demonstrated in class.
Please work on your character designs for your big project.

Tomorrow, at the end of class, the 3 animal motion studies are due. remember, they should be in pencil only, no ink or color.

Please ink your Simpson drawing, use two pen thicknesses. If you need to make some adjustments to your drawings please do before you ink them. You will need to ink your completed drawing in Illustrator.
Be ready to name the theme of your big project.

6/1 Class Update and Homework

165 Students:
1. Go to the leaf drop tab at the top of the blog, read the information for Monday. 
2. Homework, in your sketchbook, in pencil only, draw 4 different types of trees that have a human like figure. 
3. On Monday we will look at your tree drawings, choose the best one for the project and ink it.
4. On Monday we will go over the project in detail.

6/20 Class update and homework

Class Update and Homework

1. Go to the Rubber Hose tab at the top of the screen, and follow the directions with one exception. Do not ink your Rubber Hose drawing, please keep it in pencil only. We will ink it in class tomorrow.
2. Brink you black markers to class tomorrow.
3. Tomorrow we will look at your first two animations.

1. Tomorrow your first, rough, pencil only, walk, fly, swim animatic will be due at the end of class.
2. You are only turning in one animatic tomorrow.
3. The Second Animatic is due on Wednesday at the start of class.

165 Students:
1. In your sketchbook, full page, using red or blue pencil only, draw one of the photos that are shown below as a cartoon character.
2. Before drawing, go to the "Caricature" tab at the top of the blog and review the information.
3. Once you have reviewed the information, you can begin drawing.

*Remember to draw an outline for the hair, not individual hairs.

*After the drawing is complete, the drawing should be inked. For a sample of inking look at my Laurel and Hardy video at the bottom of the caricature page.

166 Students:
1.Tomorrow you will begin the first of your three pencil only, walk, fly, swim, animatics. 
2. You may choose the one you want to do first.
3. The first one is due on Thursday at the end of class.
4. I will review the process at the start of class tomorrow.

Great First Day

Great first day!

165 Students:
1. For tomorrows class, make sure to bring your 9"x12" spiral bound blank sketchbook, a red or blue pencil if you have it and your eraser.
2. If you would like a copy of the syllabus, you may: A. Copy it from the class folder to a Thumb Drive
B. Print it out in class.
C. Do both
3. For homework, in your sketchbook, using any medium (Pens, pencils, markers), draw yourself full page as a zombie. 

Yes, the two drawings directly below are of me. The B/W was ink on red pencil and the color one was the inked drawing that was scanned, imported into illustrator then colored. 
* Later in the week I will be showing you how to use illustrator

166 Students:
1. Go to the page tab at the top of the blog titled, "Walk, Fly, Swim" follow the directions. We will review your animal choices on Tuesday.
2. Reminder, you will not need your watercolor pencils until next week.
